There were also a couple of scenes which seemed to build on the mysteries left over from season 1. In the end, Ban succeeded in luring Hawk back to the Boar Hat bar with his divine cooking, except that Meliodas pulled a fast one on him when he grabbed Hawk and declared himself the winner, stressing that he specifically mentioned whoever "grabbed" Hawk first. But their powers proved to be no match to Hawk's techniques, despite the talking pig's smaller size. Everybody took on the challenge, each with their own personal request to ask of their leader.
He told his crew that whoever grabbed Hawk first would get to request something from him. Hawk ran out of the Boar Hat bar in fear after Meliodas realized that in order to cook a decent meal of roast pig, he would have to use a real pig in place of the scraps and vegetables he had used. The episode titled, "The Dark Dream Begins," was mostly spent looking for the talking pig, Hawk, who was previously miniaturized after being roasted by Hendriksen. The special series, "The Seven Deadly Sins: Signs of Holy War" picks up when Meliodas himself told Elizabeth that his adventure was far from over. This time, the upcoming battle could possibly take root in the intriguing information that Gilthunder, Hauser and Griamor discovered about Meliodas. And along with the sighting of a mysterious winged creature came an ominous warning that another war was about to descend on the city of Liones.
But despite their victory in reclaiming control of the royal capital, the signs of the Holy War lingered.
The final episode of the anime titled, "The Heroes," saw the Sin defeating the villainous Holy Knight, Hendriksen, with their combined forces. The highly anticipated four-episode special of "Seven Deadly Sins" has finally begun airing and it looks like the real war has only just begun. "The Seven Deadly Sins: Signs of Holy War" is a four-episode anime special featuring an original story arc written by Nakaba Suzuki.
